In this time when we are going through an epoch-making period which is bringing us to amend our management practice, Rouen Business School aims to take part in this increased activity of rethinking business by producing knowledge of a scientific nature intended for our students, future managers of tomorrow’s businesses, but also for the school’s stakeholders (companies, regulatory authority, public authorities, local authorities, etc.) by seeking to transform this knowledge into applied research partnerships.
Research at Rouen Business School means to take its part in the exploration of new worlds to whose emergence the financial crisis is contributing: new behaviour patterns among young people, linked to digital technology, the consideration now given to environmental constraints in supply chain questions, the new attitudes to work and career, new banking and accounting regulations, these are all topics where the Rouen Business School faculty means to make its contribution to the debate by providing knowledge of a scientific nature.
In order to accomplish such a mission, Rouen Business School can count on a team of 80 permanent faculty organised into four research groups and on the ‘Maison de l’Entrepreneuriat et de l’Innovation’ (Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre).
Each research group brings together a multi-disciplinary scientific team of teaching-research faculty focusing on a research theme which provides a framework for their activity over a four-year period. The research groups are under the responsibility of a professor, and the Chairs are attached to them.
The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre groups together the teaching, support and guidance, and research programmes concerning topics related to business creation. This group aims to increase the number of entrepreneurial projects mounted by the school’s students.
