International : a School which is open to the world, a multicultural campus

A School which is open to the world : exchanging ideas, exploring cultures, finding your place in the world

Rouen Business School Auditorium

Rouen Business School is expanding its partnerships with the biggest universities and business schools in the world. This exceptional network is one of the great strengths of our School.

Every year, our School welcomes 1300 international students coming from 81 different countries – 700 are enrolled in our programmes, 600 are on an exchange – , out of a total of 4200 students. To help them with their integration on the campus and in France in general, these students are looked after by one of our biggest student associations, Culture Connection.

In return, our 200 academic partners welcome more than 600 of the School’s students on exchange schemes where the accent is on immersion (less than 5 students sent in the same period to the same university). All the students in the BSc in International Business-IFI programme (1 year) and the Master Grande Ecole programme (1 semester) are concerned. Students in the Bachelor in Business Administration programme, along with the possibility of doing a double degree, are offered Summer schools and study tours with foreign partners.

Multicultural faculty and programmes

41% of our permanent teaching and research staff are international. Over the year, more than 50 foreign visiting professors contribute to teaching or research activities on the campus.

The School offers 24 double degrees : 2 for the Bachelor in Business Administration, 10 for the BSc in International Business and 12 for the Master Grande Ecole programme.

The development of the postgraduate programmes is decidedly international. Several are offered in English :

  • 1 International MBA (80 % of foreign students) accredited by the AMBA just after the end of its 3rd year of existence
  • 7 Masters of Science :Global Management, Finance, Marketing French Excellence, International Project Development, Supply Chain Management, Global Business, Arts Management (rentrée 2013).

Language mastery, cultural knowledge

Students workingDuring their studies, all the students of Rouen Business School work in mixed teams. Language learning (two compulsory and one optional) is a priority, in our dual competence language and multicultural approach.

Turning knowledge into skills

Rouen Business School offers two types of course, with different learning outcomes. The first consists of giving students a tool-box of methodologies, and the other provides them with an environment for experience where they are able to use their knowledge and to test themselves. This practical aspect enables trainers to check whether the student can perform well, in other words, whether he/she knows how to bring into play his/her knowledge in unfamiliar communication situations.

International Students

This innovative teaching method puts the students into real project mode situations, working alongside the School’s international contingent, in this way putting the accent on the linguistic and multicultural aspects.

All teaching work is carried out in line with the CEFR (Common European Frame of Reference for languages), as defined by the Council of Europe, with the aim of promoting linguistic diversity and mobility. A partnership with the Conseil Régional (Regional Council) involves sharing this practical knowledge with the Lycée (High School) pupils of the Region (‘Région Langues’ project).

Strong international visibility

Rouen Business School has strong international visibility and recognition. The School is AACSB, Equis and AMBA accredited.

Our network : 193 international academic partners

Rouen Business School’s network of academic partners is among the biggest of all European schools’. Our School runs exchanges with the biggest universities and business schools in all the continents.

Because it is difficult to reproduce elsewhere the quality of the learning experience of one’s home campus (academic quality, integration in the local environment), because it is essential to share the same values, the same vision, our international expansion policy consists of building  partnerships rather than setting up our own campuses in other countries.
