Faced with an ever changing environment, businesses must strengthen their knowledge in terms of their business area and their professional markets. In that vein, RBS would like to reinforce their position regarding their international teaching presence and their expertise in research.

Objectives of the Chair
Our chair of teaching and research is designed to help combine several factors; excellence research of the highest level, dissemination of knowledge among teacher-researchers, students and companies and use of this knowledge in conjunction with our business partners.
The Chair’s aim is to develop research and teaching skills in clearly defined business and management areas.
Business partners make financial resources and human resources available to the chair to speed up their research. In return, the chair puts the business partners in contact with students and specialised chairs in leading sectors.
The Creation of a Chair
The creation of a chair comes about after both professional organisations and the RBS faculty make the request. Between them, they define the activity that the chair will focus on and from that an agreement is drawn up for a minimum of 4 years.
The Internal Workings
The activities of the chair are organised by a special committee and then an agreement is made between the different partners - the representatives from the partner universities and RBS.
The Chair is responsible for organising the teaching staff, the internal and external research and the financial management of his position. The chair must then produce an annual activity report regarding the previously agreed budget.
