When theory and practice meet

A different type of training…

The work placements offer the unique possibility of putting all the theory the student has learned into practice. This is why , in the Master Grande Ecole, periods of study alternate with periods of in-company work. It is possible to do up to three different work placements. Taking your first steps as a full-time worker in a company, taking on certain responsibilities, meeting targets, showing initiative, all this and more : the work placements enable students to mature. It is possible to carry out work placements in very different sectors and in a wide variety of jobs, which allows students to think through their career plan and refine their choices.

The possibility of doing three work placements in 4 years…

The Bachelor’s internship

This internship is compulsory, and closes the first year by putting the student in a real-life operational situation within a company. It can be between 4 and 6 months, starting in June. Thanks to the new Grande Ecole Programme, it is possible to do a relatively short internship and come back to the school to work full-time with an association until Christmas and welcome the new arrivals (the 1A, foreign students and the AP2). The first internship must offer the possibility of testing what the student has learnt in the technical sphere and to develop his/her professional skills. By becoming full-time project leader for an association, the student will test his/her own abilities while having the advantage of a greater degree of autonomy than is possible in a company. It’s another way of learning...

The Master’s internship

A real practical internship integrated into the Master’s programme which allows the student to test his/her career choices in the field and to refine them. This internship lasts 6 months, and is optional, although it gives those students who do it the possibility of taking on more responsibility during their missions, and can help guide them in their future choices. It takes place, in fact, between two academic semesters (one in France and the other outside France, in one of our 110 partner universities), which gives the possibility of defining more precisely the course the student wants to follow, depending on the experience he/she has jad in the field. This practical internship offers flexibility and adaptability.

The initial employment traineeship

This traineeship, which is optional, might be organised at the request of the company, if it is the usual recruitment procedure. In this case, the traineeship agreement includes the right of return to the school (three times one week over the six month period) which would allow the student to follow the seminars of his/her choice so as to fine-tune his/her integration in the company.

The policy of the Master Grande Ecole with regard to practical management experience.

Internships, apprenticeship and also the internship working for an association, represent different ways of acquiring practical experience in management during the period of studies. In this regard, the Master Grande Ecole tries to ensure a good balance between internships and study time so as to maintain the academic quality and rigour of the programme.
