Bank Loans

In order to obtain a bank loan in France, International students must have a direct family member living and working in France who accepts to be a guarantor for their loan. The majority of international students, who wish to take out a loan, usually do in their own country before leaving.

Scholarships for international students

Some countries have specific grants for students wishing to study abroad such as Colfuturo for Colombian students: http://www.colfuturo.org/[b2] . Your local CampusFrance office will be able to provide you with up to date information and advice about these scholarships on their website (for example http://www.india-campusfrance.org/ . You can consult the main Campusfrance website at www.campusfrance.org.

Working in France

International students are legally allowed to work a maximum of 964 hours per year if they are enrolled in an education institution that entitles them to student coverage under the French national health insurance system (Sécurité Sociale) (and that they have a residence permit if they are non-EU nationals). It is important to note however that our courses very often have busy timetables so it is not always possible for students to do a large number of hours work out with their school hours.

Internships

Students doing an internship should receive some financial help from the company if they are doing an internship of over 3 or 4 months. They usually receive between 400€ and 1000€ per month.

Chamber of Commerce Scholarship

Students who stay for a period of academic study of two years or more (excluding internships) can usually apply for the Chamber of Commerce scholarship if they are experiencing financial difficulties. Those who have already benefited from financial aid from the school (partnership reduction or any other Rouen Business School scholarship) cannot be considered for this grant.

Students wishing to apply should request the form from the registration and finance department (scolarité) or from the administrative staff on their programme.

Applicants for the scholarship who have a good academic track record and who are experiencing financial difficulty are priority for these grants. Scholarships of up to about 40% of the school fees can be awarded.

Government help with housing

Students in France can apply for Government help with their housing, this can represent up to one third of the student’s monthly rent. The school has no control over amounts awarded.

Paying for your fees

Once Students have made their first down payment, they usually have the opportunity to pay their fees in one installment or make several installments in agreement with the finance department. There is no extra charge for this service.   Most international students make their payments by wire transfer, other payment methods are possible.
