Apart from coursework on communicating in a foreign language, the department is also responsible for intercultural coursework throughout the School’s programmes. The department’s role is therefore essential with regard to the international dimension of Rouen School of Management : the work done with this department allows students to grasp the linguistic, cultural and economic realities of the countries concerned.
Through its work on general culture, the department also contributes to the intellectual open-mindedness of the students and other participants.
The research interests of the department’s faculty are centred on the following themes : cultural economics and sociology, cross-cultural management and language teaching methods.
